Southland Equipment Service, Inc. started business October 5th, 1971. For over 45 years we have served central South Carolina with various material handling solutions.
What is your primary product or service?
Southland is a Forklift Dealership offering complete Sales, Service, Parts, Tires, Rentals, and related material handling equipment.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
We saw a need for better service and grew from there. We have a 45 year reputation for fixing things in a timely and cost effective manner.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Most new customers first response is "You actually fix things!" We are reliable and understand our customers need to be able to move materials and product in order to serve their customers. We work on and have parts for ALL brands of forklifts.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Serving the Midlands from our one location with Field Service Vans and qualified technicians; Full Service Shop, Excellent Parts Department; a Roll Back Delivery Truck; and rentals when needed.

We are located at 109 North Shorecrest Road in Columbia, SC 29209 Off of I-77 exit #6 head East on Shop Road. After the traffic light we are on the second road to the right. (Turn Right at Best One Tires) and we are on the left.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover credit cards as well as Company Checks and cash. Open credit accounts are available upon request and completion of a Southland Credit Application.
Which areas do you service?
We specialize in central South Carolina approximately a 50 mile radius around Columbia however we do travel the entire state as needed.
